Educational Aids to Poor Students

Every year we provide educational aids to poor and needy students studying in our schools.

Scholarships: Rs. 2,94,500/- was distributed among 200 needy students as scholarships during the year 2015-2016.

Pecuniary help was given to poor and meritorious students on a regular basis in order to help them continue their studies. An amount of Rs. 7,79,268/- was disbursed from the Students’ Welfare Fund to meet the Schools Fees of 336 students studying in our 16 schools during the year 2015-2016.

 

Narayana Seva

On every Sunday about 60 beggars are fed with full meals at our ashrama.

On 27 March 2016 Narayana Seva was conducted in the slum areas of Aditypur as a part of Sri Ramakrishna Birth Anniversary Celebrations. On this occasion, around 1400 poor people, mostly beggars and slum dwellers, were fed sumptuously.

Distribution of Blankets

400 Woolen Blankets were distributed to 400 poor families. Besides, 76 blankets were distributed to 76 wandering monks.

Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa (GAP)

On the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Society has taken up, under the auspices of the Headquarters of Ramakrishna Mission, one Integrated Child Development programme in which 118 children of slum areas of Adityapur, Jamshedpur, are given all round free non-formal education. The children are provided with free reading materials, uniform, toiletry and nutritional diet, etc.

Midday Meal

Midday Meal schemes are running in 5 Middle & Primary Schools and 5 High Schools. According to the norms of the Government, children studying in classes I to VIII were fed one full meal on every working day.
