Audio Visual Unit:

Rural Audio Visual programmes are conducted in the remote villages through the Mobile Audiovisual Unit. 32 films depicting religious and ethical values were screened during the year in over 27 villages covering a population of 20,000 people in Patamda and Chandil blocks of East Singhbum and Saraikela Kharswan Districts.

150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda

  • A Regional Youth Convention in commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was organised on 19 & 20 January 2013. 3383 delegates and volunteers, both boys and girls from 5 states, viz. Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal & Chhatisgarh participated in the convention. About 2000 youth took part as resident delegates. During the two-day convention which was inaugurated by Sri H.M.Nerurkar, Managing Director, Tata Steel, and presided over by Smt. Himani Pandey, Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, there were learned deliberations by monks and dignitaries on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda aimed at acquainting the youth with the glorious heritage of our motherland and inspiring the youth to participate in the nation-building process.
